While I was sitting around on Sunday, I took to my phone to watch some YouTube videos from some of my favorite beauty bloggers. While browsing through videos, YouTube suggested me to watch “The Ugly Truth about YouTube & Business” by Taren Guy. Taren Guy made some valid points about knowing your worth when it comes to dealing with advertisers. A lot of advertisers wants something for nothing while you do all the hard work for them like vlogging/blogging about their products, advertising their products on social media, and so on. Companies have budgets to advertise their products and vloggers/bloggers should be included too. Don't work for free for them and let them use you! When it comes to receiving free products from companies for you to review to your audience, Taren Guy suggested that you really should be getting compensated for it if your following numbers are high. Since I'm a product review blogger and receive free products from companies, at this time I do not charge for my reviews but when it comes to advertorials, I do. My numbers when it comes to followers isn’t high enough yet to charge for product reviews if I wanted to go that route. But the question is, is paid product reviews actually genuine reviews? Do you think that vloggers/bloggers should be paid for reviews or is the product itself the compensation?

While on Google+ a day ago, I came across an interesting post about 12 Reasons I am Not Migrating From Blogger to WordPress from a blogger I follow. I really commend her for writing this post because I'm just about tired of hearing other bloggers saying you're not professional, or your blog can be shut down any time by Google. Yes, Google can shut your blog down if you don't follow their rules, but as long as you're following them you don't have a problem. You guys just don't know the excitement I'm feeling right now! To see myself in a national magazine is beyond electrifying! Last Fall, Hearst Corp. editor contacted me through this blog to feature me in Dr. Oz's debut magazine "The Good Life" in one of their articles about "Fun Ways to Make Extra Money" and found that I enjoy making money free testing products at home. When I got their email, my heart dropped! At first I just didn't believe it but once I gave them my phone number to do an interview over the phone and they called me pretty quickly, then I knew right then this was the real deal! I can't believe how fast January came and gone! It was definitely a very busy month for me dealing with family life, a lot of networking online, working with PR companies on my other blog, and dealing with the ice storm that hit in Atlanta last week (I made it safely home before everything started icing up). January was a pretty good month in earnings considering that I'm still in my slow months. But I'm still on the mission to make a full time living working online, all I need is to work on making good income during the Winter months and then I'll be all set. Here are my January Totals: It is a fascinating world nowadays – one of opportunity, innovation and initiative. The internet has made it possible for people not only to access information and communicate but also to find opportunities and work places where none have thought to exist. Is it really possible to make money online? Contrary to what many people think, it isn’t as easy as creating a website and then the money flows in. It is a matter of dedication and it depends only on your commitment. To begin, start looking into and trying different approaches; here are some basic ones you can try. Hello everyone! As many of you know I'm a product review blogger on my other blog. A lot of bloggers, especially mom bloggers connect with PR companies and businesses to help review their products and get the word out through social media, email, word of mouth, etc. I really enjoy being a Brand Influencer because I get to learn about the latest new products that companies are trying to promote. Some companies will pay you for sponsor post but when it comes to product reviews, the product is usually your compensation. Doing product reviews and sponsored post can lead to great opportunities like, getting invited to conferences, working for big brand companies, and start making a good income from it.
