Many times, college students are faced with the need to complete major class projects over their Thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks. How do you manage while still enjoying your time off?

Start with a Plan

Making a study plan is likely the absolute last thing you want to do right now. However, it is a good thing to do while your brain is still in student mode. Figure out what you have to do and when it has to be done. Plan to work on the project a little at a time so you aren’t left in a pinch at the last moment. Make sure to let your friends and family that you have work that you must complete over the break so they will understand when you aren’t always available to them. Every town has a library and these great places can provide you with the quiet and peace you need to focus on your studies or project. If you make use of these little gems, you are sure to become a huge fan of the public library system.

Although nobody wants to work over their college break, the fact is that most students will have to at some point. All you can do is to take the above steps to make the process as painless as possible so you will have at least some time to spend with family and friends and in relaxation.
