Even though some of the jobs may seem odd to some people, still a great way to make an extra buck. I love the fact that the article mention you can make money with online surveys like SurveySavvy.com, which is one of the survey companies I'm currently a member with. To get out of debt, one has to go through a very challenging yet simple process. It involves looking inward and doing an assessment of self and everything that one does – one’s habits, attitudes, priorities, and character. To many, this process can sometimes be very uncomfortable and painful. However, taking this ‘journey’ is also crucial, most especially if the person really wants to put his life, starting with his finances, in order. In order to make the process effective, a person has to give sufficient time to sit down and write everything. This process allows for reflection and hopefully, realizations. If you are willing to go through this process, begin by evaluating the following: Income. Put in writing how much your income is per month. If you and your wife are both working, combine both your income to come up with the monthly family income. Other items that may be part of income would be government assistance you receive as well as grants. Expenses. All expenses should be written down. Be sure to include mortgage, insurances, and loans. Don’t forget to include all your variable expenses such as clothing, entertainment, and gifts. When identifying your income and the expenses, be sure to write them in monetary values. When you’re done, make a comparison between in income and the expenses. Subtract the expenses from the income. Ideally, the result should be positive, which means there is an excess. If we were looking into a business, the excess would signify profit. The problem however, is that most of the time, the result we get is negative. This means that, for most of the time, we’re spending more than what we’re earning. This is not good. When you find yourself in this situation, the next best thing to do is to seriously rethink your monthly spending. Cut out any unnecessary expenses. The new goal should be to ensure that you have money left at the end of each month. A question remains though: how can you get out of debt? If you rely on the little savings you make at the end of each month, it’s going to take a long time before you can get out of debt. Your Options One way out of debt is to declare bankruptcy. When you declare bankruptcy, you declare your inability to pay your creditors. There are opposing views on this on its effect on credit standing. Some would say that declaring bankruptcy will “bring peace of mind; it will cancel your debt; that the debt collectors’ calls will stop; and you’ll be able to start and sleep well again”. To some, declaring bankruptcy may be the only way out. However, the advantage for doing such is short-lived. Somehow, in the future, time will come when you will need to avail of loans. That will be the time you will find out the effects of filling bankruptcy. This is a fact: if you declare bankruptcy, it will have a significant effect on your credit rating. Bankruptcy should be your last resort because of its serious consequences. For one, once you declare bankruptcy, it will be very difficult for you to get loans or credit cards in the future. Another way to get out of debt is to get a Debt Consolidation Loan. What it does is it will take several different debts that you owe to different creditors and consolidate them into one easy-to-pay debt. In general, the monthly payments for these loans are lower than your original debts. Whichever option you choose, just be sure that you are looking at the bigger picture, with your future in mind.

However, if you’re wise, focused, and frugal, you might make it through the journey in four. One of the hardest things to do in college is to save money. It’s not impossible, though. A few tips… 1. Campus Events. Take advantage of events on campus that provide food and drinks. There’s always some club or organization promoting itself, and generally free food and/or drinks are offered. Why buy a $7 dollar sandwich for lunch when you can find free buffets all over campus? Erin Prickett is a bargain hunter who enjoys finding great deals on travel. The Toluna Team If you haven't signed up yet click here Toluna.com Before deciding to participate in a clinical research study, it's important that you understand the research study and clinical research in general so that you can make an informed decision. Below are some common questions and answers about clinical research studies. You may also find it helpful to talk with your doctor or loved ones before making your decision.
What is a clinical research study? A clinical research study is a research project done with human volunteers to find out if new medications and treatments are both safe and effective. In a clinical research study, the participants get an investigational medication under the supervision of a doctor and other research professionals. (It's called investigational because the medication isn't approved yet for general use.) As a trial goes on, the doctor and researchers gather more and more information about the investigational medication. Should I participate in a clinical research study? It's your decision. People volunteer to participate in a clinical research study for different reasons. Some want access to new investigational drugs. Others want to help advance science. Either way, by participating you may help develop better future medical treatments. Whatever the reason for your interest, be sure to make an informed choice about participating. How will I be protected? Clinical research studies are regulated, following rules set by the FDA or other health authorities. The research study will follow a protocol, which is a detailed study plan explaining what researchers will do in the study. Each research study must also be approved by an institutional review board (IRB) or ethics committee (EC). IRBs and ECs are groups of people who help protect the rights and welfare of people participating in research studies. IRBs or ECs are usually made up of doctors, scientists, religious representatives, and other medical and nonmedical people. Your privacy will also be protected. The research team can't tell anyone that you're participating in a research study without your permission. All of the information collected during the study will be kept confidential, and your name won't be listed in any reports based on the study. What can I expect? Generally speaking, the study doctors and researchers will check your health at the beginning of the research study, give you specific instructions for participating, monitor you carefully during the study, and then stay in touch after the study is completed. What is informed consent? In order to help you decide if you should participate, the study doctor and researchers will explain the research study, then ask you to review an "informed consent document". An informed consent document describes the clinical research study, including its purpose, duration, procedures, possible known risks and benefits of participating, and what is expected of you as a participant. After being informed of all the key facts about the clinical research study, you decide whether or not to sign the document and join the study. What are the risks? Different research studies have different risks. Some investigational medications being tested can have side effects, some of which may be unknown. In some studies, some people receive the active investigational medication while others receive a placebo. A placebo looks like the study medication, but has no active components. Note that whether you receive the placebo or the active investigational medication, you'll receive the same level of study-related care. Whatever the risks are for the study you choose, your study doctor or research team will review them with you before you sign the informed consent document. Can I leave a clinical research study after it has begun? Yes, you have the right to leave a research study at any time. When you want to leave, tell the doctor or research team and explain your reasons for leaving. What happens after a clinical research study? After a clinical research study is finished, all of the information is collected and analyzed to help determine the medication's safety, effectiveness, and side effects. Please talk to your doctor or healthcare provider to find you your treatment options after you complete a study. How much do you get compensated for your time? Payments can range anywhere from $1000-$5000 depending on how long the trial is and your travels. Click here to find and join a clinical study Do you need a way to make extra money on the side? Have no idea what you can do to figure out what you can do to accomplish this in these hard times? It's not hard if you are really willing to learn a new skill and work at it to make extra money. Here are a few ideas that you can implement to make extra money.. 1. Writing - If you have any interest in writing then you could easily make some money writing for blog owners. Some people pay big money for well written articles. You could also open a blog yourself and write articles for SEO purposes. Maybe you could even "ghost blog" for companies who maintain a separate blog site within their business website. Some people pay for you to take care of their twitter account and tweet on their behalf. There are many avenues you can take for pursuing writing jobs and if you are decent wordsmith then this might just be for you. 2. Gardening - Have you got a knack for gardens? Taking care of someones garden is a really good way to earn extra money from something that you consider to be a hobby. People pay big money for professional services and if you offer your services at a slightly lower but significant discount then people would be more than happy to pay you to do the work. People will recommend you to other people and once the word gets around then you could easily make some decent money on the side doing what you love. 3. Cleaning Houses - You could offer your own brand of "Molly Maid" type services by opening ads on Craigslist and other advertising sites and you might end up with more work than you could handle of odd jobs. There are so many people out there that simply cannot handle their jobs and managing their homes on a day to day basis. These types of maid services make serious money charging extra for doing dishes, laundry or other extra jobs that are not included in normal tidying up services. 4. English Language Tutoring - Think you have the language down pretty good? Been speaking it all your life? Well you may not think you are perfect but if you have any ability to help someone who does not know it at all then this might be for you. There are plenty of resources online to give you teaching aids so you can teach a class at home for an immigrant who desperately needs to learn the English language. If word spreads around that you are a decent teacher who does not charge an arm and a leg then you could easily expand your class and host more than 1 student and effectively doubling and tripling the income you made with one student. 5. Laundry/Ironing Services - Like I said above with house cleaning, laundry could be a job completely within itself. You could do pick up and deliver service within your area or maybe even do it right at there home. I'm sure you can find a groove and charge enough money to cover costs of detergent and other supplies as well as the wear and tear of your own washer and dryer if that is what you choose to do. These are just a few of the ideas I am putting in this article to get you started. Simply thing of something you do now and that you could offer and charge someone else to do for a decent price. Don't be afraid to charge a decent amount for your services because you need it to be worth your while too. Just work out what it costs you to offer the service and then charge 100%+ on top of that. It's not that unreasonable to think you should make 100% or more in profit.
