Cash is tight for a lot of us at the moment, and whilst working every hour God send is one method of getting your wallet feeling a little weightier, there some easier ways you can supplement your income.
Here’s a look at just a few ploys you can use to bolster your income and ease up your grip on the purse strings.
Rent Your Property
If you have the space, taking on a lodger can go along way to helping you meet your monthly bills. That said, for most people, having a stranger in the home is just too invasive a measure to consider seriously.
Luckily, letting out a room is far from the only option available to you when it comes to renting out your property. If you live in or near a crowded conurbation and are lucky enough to have a drive way, given how hard parking spaces can be to come by, you’ve got a prime piece of real estate.
If you aren’t making use of it yourself, renting out your drive shouldn’t really inconvenience you, indeed, it may be that the only difference you notice is in your bank account.
There are numerous websites out there that will reward you for writing product reviews (which, as tasks go, is as easy as stating your honest opinion) with vouchers and credits which you can convert into cash, or use to purchase goods. A quick and effortless way of earning a little extra money.
This might sound ridiculous at first, but you’ll be surprised at how, by simply entering as many competitions as possible, you can soon find yourself winning one or two prizes a week. ‘Comping’, as it’s known, might not set you up for a whole new lifestyle, but it can add a bit of spice your life and lead to some fun, and more importantly free, goodies.
Get Paid to Receive Junk Mail
You may be aware that there are various organisations out there you will pay to get their hands on personal information about you, purely so that they can send you junk mail. Well, you can get a slice of the action by willing selling the information to mass marketers yourself via numerous online services.
Sell Your Story
You don’t need to be a freelance investigative journalist to make money selling a story. Magazines and papers are always in need of content and will pay for stories they think will interest their readers.
You can also get paid for letters and photographs, and various TV shows will pay to air any amusing video footage you might have.
