Using social media platforms will get you a ton of exposure if you do it properly. The potential is endless and there are multiple opportunities to build your list through social media outlets. The top 3 are Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
Create a Facebook fan page. Then use that page to market and promote your products and your business. Utilize the FB Static FBML application because this allows you to collect email information by creating your own squeeze page within Facebook.
Create your Twitter profile and in the ‘Bio’ section of editing your
profile, add a link to your website or squeeze page. Some people set-up auto-reply direct messages to new followers that include a link to your squeeze page. Along with your Facebook page posts, your Twitter posts should have some value. Describe the benefits of following you or subscribing to your list.
Videos have a higher perceived value than regular PDF documents. Make some videos about your product or business and use YouTube to promote them. You can add a link to your
squeeze page in the description. Share your videos as much as you can because if they go viral, you’ll see a huge boost in traffic and opt-in conversions.
Simply put, webinars are under-utilized. People seem to be more nervous when they’re on camera or when they do a live event. It’s normal to have those feelings, but don’t let it prevent you from creating one as the potential of a webinar is huge. You can easily create a good relationship with your subscribers as well as potential subscribers by conducting a webinar.
Over a given time period, you’ll be providing useful information and strategies to grab their attention and hopefully gain the trust of the people watching. You’ll need to find a way to get all the email addresses of your audience so that you can add them to the list. I recommend having people register for your webinar using their email address to subscribe to your list and sending them a ‘thank you’ and the link to the webinar location with a time and date.
