I like to do my taxes online with Taxslayer.com because of their low prices on e-filing online with my federal and state taxes and it is very easy program to use, plus its safe and secured. I have been using them for almost 6 years without ever a problem with my tax refund that I get deposited in my bank account within a week of me e-filing.
So yesterday while I was checking my emails I received this message from Taxslayer:
We have recently learned that the IRS has a refund processing delay. This was discovered on January 24th by the IRS, which has caused a vast majority of refunds to be delayed at least one week. This affects all taxpayers who have an accepted e-filed return prior to January 24th.
To check the status of your refund or to see if your refund has been affected by this IRS error, please use the “Where’s My Refund” link found on www.irs.gov.
I can't believe my refund will be delayed!!! I was counting on paying off some credit card bills with that money. I guess the IRS is really backed up processing 2011 tax refunds.
So if your wondering why you haven't received your tax refund yet, there goes your answer.
