So it looks like Pinecone Research is going to a points system like other survey panels.  My thoughts on this is that I don't really like it because redeeming points for cash and merchandise can be a bit confusing.  

I like how when I complete a product test survey with Pinecone, I get my payment the very next day and no other survey panel pays that fast.  I'm going to continue to keep getting paid cash for each survey like I regularly do through PayPal since I'm not interested in getting free merchandise.
